“To create is to breathe – deeply, emotionally, truthfully.”
Life in art. From the Riviera with Soul.
Pamela Gerard is a Belgian-born painter living and working in Nice, France. After a thirty-year career as a teacher of French and English, she made the courageous decision to give her lifelong passion for painting the space it had always deserved.
Today, her work is a celebration of light, movement, and emotion often described as poetic, dreamlike, and gently powerful. Each canvas is a dialogue between structure and spontaneity, drawing inspiration from the timeless spirits of Da Vinci, Monet, Matisse, Miró, Kandinsky, Van Gogh, and Klimt.
Pamela works with oil, acrylic, tempera, and mixed media on canvas, paper, and even architectural surfaces. Her process is instinctive and emotionally driven guided not by trends, but by a search for harmony, presence, and quiet joy.
“I want to make something beautiful, simple, and soulful, not for galleries, but for the spaces where people live, breathe, and feel.”
Her pieces often echo the rhythm of nature, the grace of geometry, and the unspoken texture of human experience. Whether painting a private commission or an abstract series, Pamela allows her inner child to speak with curiosity, elegance, and tenderness.
Pamela’s work now lives in private collections across France, Belgium, and beyond. She welcomes bespoke projects, collaborations, and conversations about beauty in all its forms.
La cueilleuse d’étoiles – Prologue
Texte d’ouverture

ENGLISH
They say poetry is a painting made of words,
and painting is poetry made of light and colors.
I believe it’s true.
A painting doesn’t need words to speak.
A poem doesn’t need images to open our inner sight.
And yet, both come together in me,
like two beats of the same heart.
I write with brushes. I paint with silences.
I gather the light wherever it passes.
I gather stars before they fade.
In every canvas, in every poem,
there is a trace of what I have seen,
what I have felt,
and what I chose to love.
Welcome to this suspended space,
where words dance with colors,
and beauty is born again
each time a gaze rests upon it.
